Why yoga in schools?

A spacious room with blue yoga mats on the floor, chairs lined up against large windows decorated with a string of small international flags, and brick walls.

Imagine if every child had the opportunity to calm their mind, manage their emotions, and engage in healthy physical movement throughout the school day! Yoga in schools is more than just a brief stretch break and practicing poses—it’s a powerful tool for enhancing mental well-being, physical health, and social-emotional learning. It fosters focus, resilience, empathy, and self-regulation, equipping students with essential skills to navigate challenges both in the classroom and in life.

Are you interested in introducing yoga to your early childhood center or K-12 school? There are several ways we can work together:

  1. Curricular Integration-Yoga classes built into the school day as part of enrichment periods

  2. Workshops and Events-School assemblies, Back to School Night, and more!

  3. Professional Development-Training for teachers to integrate yoga and mindfulness into their classrooms.

  4. Yoga for Student Athletes-Enhance physical performance (flexibility, coordination, balance, strength, injury prevention)while supporting mental health (practicing breathing techniques and mindfulness can reduce stress and anxiety during high pressure games/competitions).

  5. After-School Programs
